Here’s a brief clip of CROCK playing the classic 1961 Donald Bailey tune Comin’ Home Baby at Flatbread in the Old Mill. Courtesy of Georges Bouhey our illustrious music instructor and music director.
Here’s the culmination of our fall session. CROCK performed for the Cascades Academy Holiday program at the Century Center in Bend. The ensemble includes Laz Glickmann on keys; Damon, Christian, and Steven George on Guitar, Bass, & Drums (w/broken arm!); Judi Kelley on vocals, and Ryan Jasper on the second bass. Their first song is the classic Cannonball Adderley song written by Joe Zawinul back in 1966 called “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy”
The closing number was also from 1966, “After Midnight” by JJ Cale.
CROCK members caught caught a guitar lesson from Robert Cray ripping some blues at the Tower Theater.
Check out CROCK keyboardist Laz Glickman playing with Jeremy Pelt at the Oxford in Bend during a Jazz at the Oxford show. What an awesome music lesson for Laz!
CROCK members catching a guitar lesson from Steve Kimock at the Bend Fall Festival. Video from the front rown in downtown Bend. It was awesome!
Here’s a highlight reel of some founding members of CROCK doing their last performance in Austin with the School of Rock. Damon on lead guitar, Christian on Bass.
CROCK members caught a music performance lesson from Trombone Shorty as he tore up some killer New Orleans style funk-driven rock & roll at an ACL Live show in the Moody Theater in Austin, TX. This video is an entire show in HD we found on-line that was recorded in New Orleans at a slightly later date with some awesome special guests. The quality is stellar.
Here’s three of the founding members of CROCK playing at their old school’s talent show down in Austin. Not the best PA in the world, but the song was tight. This was Steven’s (the drummer) first live gig.
CROCK members catching some Galactic down @ Stubs BBQ in Austin. They pulled some Zepplin out and brought out the former lead singer of Living Color. It rocks!
Here’s a clip of CROCK founding member Christian (on bass) with his School of Rock in Austin during a Rolling Stones tribute session:
Here’s a clip of CROCK founding members playing in their former School of Rock ensemble in Austin. They did the Who’s Next Album from front to back. It was a great show – Damon on lead guitar and Christian thumps the bass. Unfortunately we did not get a very good video tape of it. Here’s a quick clip of baba o’riley:
And here’s a WAY better clip of baba o’riley they recorded when Roger Daltry came to Austin for his Tommy tour.
CROCK member Steven gets his first set of drums – Roland V-Drums with mesh heads. Perfect for drum lessons – these things are awesome. Musicians prefer acoustic drums (for good reasons) – but for rehearsals, where you’re trying to hear all the parts and really communicate musically, they are the bomb! And parents get to keep their sanity too!

Here’s two photos from the first live gigs CROCK members Damon & Christian George did back in April of 2011 down in Austin, TX. These were their first shows in the School of Rock. Damon’s ensemble was playing southern rock. He was nervous and got a rhythm guitar part (that’s him in the orange shirt blending into the banner on the right – playing 3rd guitar).

And here’s Christian’s make-up for his KISS show around that same time. Show was pretty cool (a bit loud too!).
